Building on the success of Cooper Robertson's 2013 Master Plan for the Central Delaware, our team worked with Harris Blitzer Sports Entertainment to design a new waterfront disctrict, and a new home for the Philadelphia 76ers.

I led design and ambitious proposal for a transformative mixed-use development in the heart of the Philadelphia’s emerging waterfront district. Anchored by a new arena for the Philadelphia 76ers, and with 4.2 million square feet of development including residential and commercial complexes as well as a wide variety of retail, dining, and entertainment amenities, the design creates a vibrant new waterfront destination for the city of Philadelphia.

Primary Responsibilites:

  • Project lead and client liaison.
  • Pro-forma test fit analysis.
  • Zoning / land use analysis.
  • Consultant coordination.
  • Proposal assembly.

Centrally Located

Waterfront access from the city to the banks of the Delaware is at the forefront of the proposal

A continuous waterfront esplanade that runs the entire length of the development site. The proposed Park at Penn’s Landing, bridging the busy Interstate 95, as well as improvements to the multi-modal Delaware River Trail and a new South Street pedestrian bridge extension ensure that the development ties into the surrounding historic neighborhoods of Old City, Independence Mall and Society Hill.

Vibrant and Active

4.2 million square feet of mixed-use development

The new ~18,500-seat arena will be home to the Philadelphia 76ers and host an active program of music and performance events. On the north side of the new Park at Penn’s Landing, a new mixed-use retail, office, residential, and arena development will activate the waterfront all year-round. On the opposite side, a multi-use residential, retail, and entertainment development will activate the Park as well as the Marina Basin to the south.
